Daytrippin into new year

These past few days were active to say the least, days when Hanibal went through a few firsts (and lived to tell the tale)…

First snow climb:
Polhograjska grmada (898m), the easy route from Topol (700m)… 1h30min roundtrip

First time above 2000m:
Brda (2009m) & Okroglež via Medvedova Konta (1410m) & Lipanca (1630m) from Goše (~1300m)… 3h20min roundtrip

Planina Javornik, Ratitovec & Blegoš

First time running around in deep snow:

Dog day afternoon

Ljubljanica in vertical

Dogs tend to have this weird bipolar effect on photography. On one hand they get you out on days you’d rather do other things (but are the best as far as photography goes) and take you to places you would unlikely venture on your own. But on the other… they’re a pain once you get there and start shooting. They just don’t quite realise you only need a few more minutes to get the shot right. So you’re balancing their patience (or rather lack of it) and your meticulous process (or rather lack of it) of capturing the best image.

I shot this one specifially as a reminder of what this place looked like a few months ago. Could very well be the exact same spot and exact same bunch of stalks for all I care.

More of yesterdays photos in the daily and the api gallery.
