OpenRAW 2006 survey results

The results are in and I find myself among the 2 percent (of 19,207 photographers)  who never, or very (very) rarely, use the RAW mode on their cameras.

It just doesn’t matter to me, at all.
But that doesn’t mean I don’t support the open, non-proprietary RAW format standard. It’s better for everyone involved and there simply is no way around the fact that the author of the image actually has to own the complete image. Every single bit of the RAW format has to be available to the author and not encrypted as Nikon would like it.

New York Times & Microsoft deliver the Times Reader

Times Reader, a new newspaper reading feature in Windows Vista.  How it works I do not know.
