Follow up on internet photo critique

Someone actually did just that… posted a famous photo by Henry Cartier-Bresson on Flickr and submitted it for criticsm.

The sad fact is not that hardly anyone recognized the real author, but that people who voted for the photo to be deleted and criticised it most vigorously are people with nothing but bad macro flower shots, cat/dog shots, cheesy sunsets and other cliche beginner shots in their streams.

Internet is funny that way…

Therese Alshamar smiled for me

Arguably the most good looking woman in world class swimming (wait… there is no argument about it. She is the most beautiful swimmer!) smiled in my direction.    

 

Here are some of the others that appeared in Radovljica for the Mobitel 2006 meet where Alenka Kejžar officialy ended her career (it was actually over two years ago at the olympic games in Greece). She is currently a teacher/coach in Bangkok, Thailand.

Cooling down in summer heat

If you’re like me and can’t stand the heat then I suppose you already know this little trick… pick a nice, cool (some might say cold) river and go for a swim.

 

Judging by current water temperatures (by ARSO) your best bet in Slovenia is a choice of the following three:

Kamniška Bistrica @ very comfy 8.3°C (about 46°F), should be around 5°C at the source

Soča @ very elegant 9.6°C  (49°F), around 7-8°C at the source

Idrijca @ bordering on tepid 10.2°C (50°F)

 

Of course there are many other nice (hopefuly secret) places to go for a quick cooling dip but these three actually have a enough water for a proper swim.
