All alone

The kids are gone now… It’s been a week since Heidi left Hanibal to fend for himself.

Hanibal “the man left behind” Hayabusa

At least the party ain’t over for three of them… Hanibal, Homer and Hina will have a chance to wreak havoc in pre-school every tuesday @ KD Krim. Unfortunately it’s unlikely I’ll get a chance to see them in person but I hope there’ll be some photos I can post here.

And now that I’ve mentioned photos… it’s overwhelming how much they’ve changed in just 4 months.

day 1
I still can’t believe how small they were back then

Onwards and upwards… it’s a brand new day.

late for spring cleaning

It’s been a while since I’ve cleaned up subscriptions in sharpreader. 20 or so feeds appeared to be dead so those went out the window, a few more needed some attention because URIs changed etc. and I’ve added some new ones.
Among them is one I’ve also added to the blogroll in the upper right corner of this blog- The Late Greats, self described as “the home of greatest songs never heard”. I tend to agree most of the time. The posting frequency is far too big for me to keep up but I’ve found some great songs through it already. Awesome, goes down well with The Hype Machine

I’ll also point out APhotoEditor. An anonimous insider with some interesting things to say on the business of photography. A slightly more philosophic and academic twist to photography comes from Conscientious. One could say the familiar words of Mike Johnston et al of The Online Photographer fall somewhere between these two so you’re nicely covered from all angles. That is if your interest in photography extends beyond gear talk and pixel peeping.

That’s it for now. No, you don’t get to find out how many feeds I subscribe to ;)

Pršivec & Mala Tičarica

Pršivec
view south from Pršivec, Bohinjsko jezero somewhere below

A sunday roundtrip starting at Savica (653m) up through ÄŒrno jezero (1319m), Pršivec (1762m), planina Viševnik (1625m), planina Ovčarija (1660m), Štapce (1851m), Mala Tičarica (2071m), Dvojno jezero (1685m), ÄŒrno jezero and back to Savica… 10 hours.

I lost a half litre water bottle somewhere, probably while we were busy getting lost ourselves on the way up Pršivec…if, by some weird coincidence, someone finds it… enjoy. It did cause me some problems though as it was a long way to go dry. I had to steal some from the dog reserve (she’s a camel anyway and didn’t mind) and melt snow before we finally got to some running water near the end.

Continued in the gallery as usual but Teja cares a lot more about taking good photos up there so here’s a few good ones from her.
