The nameless song mistery

Thanks to pieces of the puzzle provided by two people, who seem to know it all and never forget anything, I think I cracked the mistery of the nameless song in the Riding for a Living movie by Nitro Snowboards.

Here’s the segment again:

I got Tomo to watch the closing credits carefuly and he came up with a band name that seems to perform during this segment. The Juanitas…. no song title though.

Anja provided the second piece of evidence with the original song by (apparently in Argentina) quite legendary Mercedes Sosa and her song La Estrella Azul written by Carlos Oscar “Peteco” Carabajal in 1991 that appears on her Best Of album.

Here’s a sample just to prove it:
Mercedes Sosa – La Estrella Azul (64k)

So I’m calling the nameless song – La Estrella Azul (instrumental) by The Juanitas.

Correct me if I’m wrong though ;)

as seen on video pt8

Another day another episode with my favorite cast…

We went on another walk yesterday on a field just across the road from the day before. There wasn’t much shade anywhere so the event was somewhat shorter but I’m guessing they had fun anyway. This time they made a bit of a mess in the car (of the smelly kind) on the way over but we cleaned it up nicely for the ride back.

Maestro… musica!

To start off I went with Alexi MurdochIt’s only fear which is the opening song from his debut EP Four Songs, As you might imagine it only contains four songs, all very strong on their own.

Fast forward to The Dub Pistols and their probably most widely known song Cyclone from Point Blank album (made famous by appearing on the soundtrack for Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2).

Following that are two classics everyone probably knows already – Scooby Snacks by Fun Lovin Criminals and Papa was a Rolling Stone by The Temptations.

Trippin’ on Scooby Snacks…
