@Media conference is taking place in London on June 9-10th.
Speakers like Jeffrey Zeldman, Douglas Bowman, Andy Budd & Andy Clarke will speak about stuff like CSS and XHTML and how they relate to web standards and accessibility. Strict adherence to web standards seems to be one way forward (although some have strong objections with that).
Hopefully more details will follow on their blogs.

Wal-Mart photo lab refused to release photos because they looked profesional. Apparently they are affraid of breaking copyright law. Nonsense, who are they to decide what is and what is not a profesional job?
“We want to protect professional photographers’ rights,” Young said. “We will not copy a photograph if it appears to be taken by a professional photographer or studio.”
She related the case of a bride whose wedding photos were rejected by Wal-Mart because they “looked like high-resolution quality.”
