WinFS is back

A while ago the news of WinFS not evolving fast enough to ship with MS Vista started to appear and suddenly one of the main features of a new OS was gone due to unexplained reasons.

But now it seems as if the WinFS team has made some sort of a breakthrough as they  released WinFS beta 1. They’re saying their product is back on schedule and will be a part of MS Vista when it ships.

Serif vs. Sans Serif

There’s a short piece over at  Kurafire.net regarding the use of  Serif and Sans Serif fonts on the net and print.

It got me thinking though… why are sans serif fonts much easier to read on the web than in print? Anyone?
