Goli Oder – Isar148

I guess  Impromptu were kinda hard to beat…

They did a good job but the german group called  Isar 148 faced a major obstacle – how to beat their guest actor (some canadian guy)? I’m sorry to say they failed. He stole the show (in my opinion).

Let that be a lesson for ya… always compete with people that are worse than you at any particular thing

Oh yes, that’s me in the background They used my camera as a cue and kept filming. I was shooting them, they were filming me (and projecting it on screen live). We also did a short interview earlier and in the end it all came together as something of a story.

Goli Oder – Impromptu

There’s really no need to complicate matters beyond the obvious – dutch impro group  Impromptu left me speechless. I think it’s safe to assume that prety much everyone in the audience was blown away by their fantastic performance (called Stone Soup) at the  Goli Oder (Naked Stage) impro festival.
At the end I overheard someone say: “So where’s the script?!”
So there…

It’s funny… all throughout the performance I was wondering if everyone from the Netherlands speaks such perfect english. It turns out 2 out of 3 in the group that came here are in fact british so there’s hardly any reason left for me to be jealous. But I am. Probably has something to do with me being absolutely hopeless at improv on the fly.

Some photos below (though they don’t do them any justice at all)
