There must be several good reasons why people visit dog shows but unfortunately, when I go to one, all those reasons seem to fade away and I only see and record a single prominent one. It’s probably similar to pre-teen beauty pageants and events like that where people come to experience a “dream” they couldn’t achieve by themselves.
How else can you explain manic obsessive grooming, trimming and things I can’t even imagine doing to a dog (not that I would even know how)? Or posing their dogs to every camera that gives them half a second of attention?
Can’t they understand I want to shoot dogs the way they are?! Bored, scared, excited, sleepy, hyperactive, confused, whatever…
