Aill Na Searrach , Irelands perfect wave

And then the wind diedâ€¦ a documentary about surfing one of the few, perfect big waves. In Ireland of all places.

This really was a historic moment. There aren’t that many (known) big waves out there. Peahi, Mavericks,Teahupoo, Belharra… and now Aill Na Searrach, otherwise known as Aileen, underneat the cliffs of Moher.

I remember hiking on the edge of the cliffs three years ago, looking down at the water far below for a couple of hours and I never imagined how big those waves could get.
