Simply picking them up on Pokljuka would have been boring (not to mention lazy of me) so I decided I’d meet them somewhere half way between Pokljuka and Vodnikov dom (Vodnik hut). When I got up to Visevnik it was still very early so I took off my shirt and boots to let them dry off a little while I take some photos.

Although I normally tend to avoid carrying heavy stuff up hills (or anywhere else for that matter, I learned my “travel heavy” lesson a while ago) I decided I’d bring my 70-200 lens along anyway since I expected some distant views (of Triglav etc.) With it I was able to spot and correctly identify the group still a long way off, across the valley on Studorski preval (Studor pass).
Then after some 30min I got up on my already slightly blistered feet and continued down to Srenjski preval and around Mali Draški vrh to meet them, then we walked right back up and down the same way I came. Other than an innocent slip and fall by one of the girls that resulted in her helmet tubling down into the valley below (but not her) and a deer sighting there’s not much more to report. Well… maybe I should mention the nice cool temperatures up there, especially compared to the oven a.k.a. Ljubljana. You might want to ponder on that if you’re stuck in the city like I am today ;)

Dreaming of being stuck in reality

Ugotavljam,da Googlov urejevalnik tabel ni najbolj zmogljivo orodje, če si zaželiš kaj več od enostavne diseminacije podatkov vendar bo za trenutne potrebe kar zadostoval. Tabele, ki sem jih začel prejšni teden sem relativno redno obnavljal za tiste bolj radovedne a vseeno en kratek povzetek rezultatov.

Homer zdaj več kot očitno vodi z dokaj veliko prednostjo pred najbližjimi zasledovalci. Na drugo mesto se je dokaj neslišno prebila Hina, tretje mesto pa si v večnem boju delita Hanibal in Heli. Hooch je žal še vedno najmanjši vendar pogled na relativno pridobitev glede na začetno težo razkriva, da je že prehitel Helvetico, Hano in Heli! Danes so tako vsi že prešli mejo 200% glede na težo prvega dne.

Zdaj so tudi že nekajkrat imeli priložnost ogleda zunanjosti brez strehe nad glavo, zgradili smo tudi novo domovanje vendar o tem več kdaj drugič. Plus fotografije seveda…

Google Spreadsheet isn’t the most fun thing to use when you need something more complex than just sharing tabular data. But it works… I’ve been updating the online weight charts every few days in case anyone was or is interested.

Homer has clearly taken the lead now with Hina sneaking her way into second place. Heli and Hanibal continue to battle it out in shared third place. Hooch is unfortunately still lagging behind however he has overtaken Helvetica, Hana and Heli! in terms of relative weight. All of them have no gone past 200% gain on their birth weight.

They’ve been out in the yard a few times now and we’ve built them a new home for the next few weeks (I hope) but more on that in a later post. And photos of course…
