as seen on video pt5
I’ve had this music in my head ever since I stumbled on a blog post listing 100 best movie opening sequences… but I’ll be damned if I can find it now.
Anyway… The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (or Il buono, il brutto, il cattivo) directed by Sergio Leone has a kickass animated opening sequence scored by one of the great composers Ennio Morricone. The duo worked together on many occasions but the main theme for this particular movie stands out head and shoulders above all other movie themes as far as I’m concerned. Colonel Bogey March made famous in Bridge on the River Kwai maybe, just maybe comes close but it wasn’t an original for the movie.
The usual cast, playing their roles of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly…
