DIY time
Since the guinea pigs don’t stop growing it was inevitable that the box they were born in wouldn’t contain them for long. However they outgrew their home quicker than I imagined.
So last weekend we built them a new home and a play pen (you might even go as far as saying it’s a corral, but not the OK corral).
Both built on the cheap, both totally collapsible in a matter of seconds, yet for the moment just perfect for what they are ment to do. Once, or rather if they outgrow those, their new home will become the kennel outside. I don’t see that happening anytime soon but you never know.
Dina has the benefit of a view from the top however she hardly ever uses it so the platform has now been delegated the role of a pub. The plank into the nether regions will soon have to be lifted as some tadpoles are constantly trying to climb out. None have succeedes thus far however all that is needed is slight cooperation and a little push from behind.
Hygene seems to be becoming a priority as they have conveniently, on their own, separated their sleeping quarters from the toilet region. Not completely but they’re getting there slowly.
